Summer School – connections with coils

Three 2.5hr sessions on consecutive Wednesdays starting 26 June, this short summer school will focus on making different types of coiled pots.  you will learn how control shape by moving in different directions with coils and how to incorporate lids into vessels.  Working with texture we will learn about glazes, firing temperatures and other decorative techniques.  You can expect to end the three weeks with at least three pieces of finished pottery for you to treasure.

Coiled pots are all about connections!  Connections between coils between people, so come and make new connections with other creative explorers in this summer school for coiled pottery.  Coils are also great way to begin thinking about sculpture in ceramics, so this is a great opportunity to join a social group of makers and to share in the experience of making together.
