This clay creativity workshop is held via Zoom in the comfort of your own home on Thursday evening and focuses on intuitive making in clay.

Working with clay in this way is a really beautiful way of meeting with your creative potential, so is ideal both for beginners in clay or more experienced makers.  The joy of clay is that it encourages an uncomplicated and reflective approach to making, allowing you to learn new skills as well as enjoying a relaxing and satisfying activity in a non-judgemental setting.

The group is an important part of this process and numbers are limited.  This allows for a greater connection between group members and the opportunity for you to absorb yourself in your creative flow.

Some reviews:
“Thank you for a great class!… great delivery.” DA
“There is something really…organic to taping into your intuition and meditating as a starting point. I often create with a purpose and then I need to make a thing and it was really enjoyable to let go of that…then you go from there and then work with it and develop.” EM
About the session

Each session is 2 hours and is introduced with a guided relaxation exercise followed by clay activity.  The final outcome might be a finished clay item but may also represent a creative idea to take forward outside session time.  The beauty of this approach is that result of your creativity is at home with you ready to enjoy.

Session outline as follows:
8 October: cultivating the beginners mind (intro to clay, form and scale)
15 October: supporting form (working with soft clay slabs)
22 October: mindful listening (pinching and carving clay)
29 October: mindful looking (coiling, grasping and joining clay)
5 November: combining colour (folding, colour and facets in clay)
12 November: balancing our effort (meaningful objects in clay)

The course fee includes 1kg of air dry clay for each session.  Shipping is by Royal Mail or Parcelforce and the cheapest option is calculated for you at checkout.   Please contact me if you would like your order shipped via a different method.  Want to bring your own clay?  Please be sure to select ‘I’ll bring my own’ from the product options above and this will give you a discount on the course fee.

The link to the zoom meeting will be emailed to registered participants.
